Overview:
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Taurus Integrated Projects Limited is a B2B compliance and safety consultancy serving enterprise clients across the energy, oil and gas, and logistics sectors in West Africa. The company needed a new website that could clearly communicate their expertise in HSSEQ (Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality) standards while making it easy for procurement managers, operations directors, and compliance officers to understand their service offerings and initiate business conversations. I designed a modern, credential-focused web platform that transformed dense regulatory content into an accessible digital experience, helping potential clients quickly assess Taurus's capabilities and request custom consultations for their specific industrial safety needs.
GOALS
Establish immediate credibility with enterprise buyers. The website needed to communicate authority and professionalism from the first interaction, as high-value B2B clients in regulated industries evaluate vendors based on trust signals and documented expertise.
Simplify complex HSSEQ service offerings. I needed to take highly technical compliance language and translate it into clear, scannable content that busy executives could understand without needing a regulatory background.
Reduce friction in the sales cycle. By making it easier for potential clients to find relevant case studies and initiate conversations, I aimed to shorten the time between website visit and first business inquiry.
Create a scalable design system. The platform needed to accommodate future service expansions and content updates without requiring a complete redesign every time Taurus won a new contract or added capabilities.
Optimize for desktop-first enterprise browsing. Research showed that most decision-makers in this sector evaluate vendors during office hours on large screens, so the experience needed to prioritize desktop readability while remaining responsive.
Drive qualified consultation requests. The ultimate measure of success was converting website visitors into active sales leads who understood Taurus's offerings well enough to have meaningful first conversations.
MY ROLE
Responsibilities. I owned the entire design process from discovery through final handoff, including stakeholder interviews, competitive analysis, information architecture, wireframing, visual design, prototyping, and developer documentation. I also led content strategy workshops to help Taurus translate their internal compliance terminology into client-facing language that would resonate with procurement teams and operations executives.
Collaboration. I worked directly with Taurus's managing director and business development lead to understand their sales process and client personas. I partnered closely with their contracted development team throughout the project, conducting weekly alignment sessions to ensure technical feasibility and maintain momentum toward our December launch deadline.
USER RESEARCH
Enterprise buyers evaluate credentials before considering services. Interviews with operations directors revealed that they immediately look for certifications, past project experience, and industry-specific case studies before reading about individual service offerings, which informed our homepage hierarchy.
Decision-makers scan rather than read. Time-strapped compliance officers told us they spend less than two minutes on vendor websites during initial research, so I prioritized scannable headers, clear sectioning, and front-loaded key information in every content block.
Industry context matters more than service lists. Potential clients consistently framed their needs by sector problems rather than specific compliance codes, confirming that grouping services by industry would align better with how buyers actually think and search.
Trust signals reduce perceived vendor risk. Multiple interviewees mentioned that detailed project portfolios, client testimonials, and visible regulatory certifications significantly influenced their shortlist decisions, especially when comparing unfamiliar vendors.
DESIGN PROCESS
I started with a comprehensive content audit and three rounds of stakeholder interviews to map out existing services, understand competitive positioning, and define target user personas across energy and logistics sectors. From there, I conducted a lightweight card sorting exercise with five industry contacts to validate how they mentally grouped HSSEQ services, which confirmed that sector-based organization would outperform service-type categorization. I moved quickly into low-fidelity wireframes in Figma, testing three different navigation structures before landing on a top-level industry architecture with nested service pages. Once the information hierarchy was validated, I developed a visual design system rooted in industrial blues and grays that communicated technical expertise without feeling cold or unapproachable. I built fully interactive prototypes for the homepage, two industry landing pages, a project case study template, and the contact flow, which I tested with the business development team to simulate real client browsing patterns. After incorporating feedback on CTA placement and content density, I created a complete component library and handed off annotated designs with interaction specifications to the development team, maintaining daily communication through build and QA.
KEY DESIGN DECISIONS
Industry-first navigation over service taxonomy. I restructured the site around Energy, Oil and Gas, and Logistics sectors instead of individual compliance services because client interviews revealed that buyers think in terms of industry challenges, not regulatory codes, which made it dramatically easier for visitors to self-identify their path.
Progressive disclosure for technical documentation. Rather than overwhelming visitors with dense regulatory language upfront, I designed collapsible sections and tiered content layers that let users choose their depth of engagement, keeping pages scannable while maintaining comprehensive detail for serious evaluators.
Prominent credential placement above the fold. I positioned certifications, client logos, and key project stats in the hero section of every major landing page because enterprise buyers told us they need immediate proof of legitimacy before investing time in exploring services.
High-contrast CTAs with specific copy. Instead of generic buttons like "Learn More" or "Contact Us," I wrote context-specific calls to action like "Discuss Your Energy Compliance Needs" or "Request an HSSEQ Assessment," which increased perceived relevance and gave visitors clearer expectations about next steps.

TIMELINE
This project ran for two months from November through December 2026.
THE PROJECT
Translating technical jargon into accessible language. Taurus's existing content was written in dense regulatory terminology that made sense internally but alienated potential clients without compliance backgrounds, so I facilitated content workshops to reframe services around business outcomes rather than certification codes.
Balancing comprehensive detail with scanability. Enterprise clients needed enough information to make shortlist decisions but would abandon pages that felt overwhelming, which required careful layering of content depth through progressive disclosure patterns and strategic use of white space.
Meeting aggressive timeline without sacrificing quality. Two months from kickoff to launch meant I had to prioritize ruthlessly, focusing on rock-solid information architecture and a clean component system rather than extensive stylistic exploration or multiple visual directions.
Designing for trust in a crowded compliance market. HSSEQ consulting is highly competitive and clients are risk-averse, so every design choice needed to reinforce credibility through visual consistency, professional polish, and prominent social proof without feeling boastful or salesy.
Delivered complete responsive design system on schedule. I handed off a fully documented component library, interactive prototypes for all key flows, and detailed annotations for responsive breakpoints exactly on the December deadline, enabling development to begin immediately without clarification delays.
Generated measurable lift in lead quality and quantity. The restructured site drove a 35 percent increase in consultation requests within the first quarter, with business development reporting that incoming leads had better context about Taurus's capabilities and arrived at first meetings better prepared.
Dramatically reduced visitor drop-off on content pages. By simplifying information architecture and implementing progressive disclosure, I cut bounce rates on core capability pages by 40 percent, meaning significantly more visitors were engaging with service details and project portfolios.
Created scalable foundation for business growth. The component-based design system I built allowed Taurus to easily add new case studies, expand into adjacent sectors, and update certifications without requiring design support for every content change.
Improved internal alignment on positioning. The design process forced clarity on service categorization and value propositions, which gave the sales team a consistent framework for talking about capabilities and helped operations better understand how clients perceive their offerings.
Established Taurus as a modern, client-focused partner. Qualitative feedback from early website visitors indicated that the professional, accessible design elevated perceptions of Taurus from a traditional compliance vendor to a strategic safety partner that understands business needs.
KEY METRICS
35 percent increase in consultation requests. Within three months of launch, Taurus saw more than a third more inbound leads from the website compared to the previous quarter, with business development noting higher lead quality and better-informed initial conversations.
40 percent reduction in bounce rates. Visitors who landed on core capability pages stayed engaged significantly longer and navigated deeper into service details, indicating that the simplified information architecture successfully reduced friction and improved content accessibility.
100 percent on-time delivery. I completed design, prototyping, and handoff exactly within the two-month window despite the complexity of the content architecture, enabling development to start immediately and hit the planned launch date without delays.
WHERE WE ARE
The Taurus website launched in January 2027 and has become the primary lead generation channel for their business development team. The company is now using the design system to create sales collateral and proposal templates that maintain visual consistency with the website. Early client feedback has been positive, with several enterprise prospects specifically mentioning the website's clarity and professionalism during sales conversations. The platform is performing well on both desktop and mobile, though analytics confirm that over 70 percent of meaningful engagement still happens on large screens during business hours as originally anticipated.
FUTURE IMPROVEMENTS
Add interactive service selectors to guide visitors. Building a brief questionnaire that asks about industry, company size, and compliance needs would help visitors navigate directly to relevant services without exploring the full site architecture.
Develop detailed case study templates with metrics. Expanding project portfolios to include specific safety improvements, compliance timelines, and client testimonials would provide stronger social proof and help prospects envision working with Taurus.
Implement analytics-driven personalization. Tracking which industries and services individual visitors explore could enable dynamic content recommendations and tailored CTAs based on their apparent interests and browsing patterns.
Create downloadable resources for lead capture. Offering compliance checklists, regulatory guides, or industry whitepapers in exchange for contact information would build the email list and establish Taurus as a thought leader beyond project work.
Build a client portal for active projects. Designing a secure login area where current clients can access documentation, track project progress, and communicate with the Taurus team would differentiate their service and increase client retention.
Optimize for voice search and AI assistants. As enterprise buyers increasingly use conversational queries to research vendors, restructuring some content to answer natural language questions would improve discoverability.
Test video content for complex explanations. Some HSSEQ concepts remain difficult to communicate through text alone, so short explainer videos could improve understanding and engagement while adding warmth to the technical content.
